Advanced Engineering: Mechanics for Grades 4-5 with Mr. Giunta*

Advanced Engineering is 12-week afterschool class offered in the Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall semester focuses simple machines, gear ratios and motorized mechanics – all using VEX IQ construction kits. The Spring semester will focus on robotics, where students will work in teams to design, build and drive a robot for a unique game.

Tritt Tiger cheer is a cheer program to help teach cheer motions, learn cheers, and create a mini routine. We will cheer on our school at different events such as the Tiger Fest, the Talent Show (if our audition makes it), Veterans Day Parade, and more! More specific details will come later. Pope High School cheerleaders will be volunteering to help in this program, which is amazing to have support from current cheerleaders! The program fee will include a bow and a t-shirt for cheerleaders to wear during the events we cheer/perform at.

Get ready to groove! Our 12-week dance class at Tritt is packed with high energy fun featuring jazz and hip hop instruction perfect for all skill levels! Dancers will shine in an in-house performance in December and take the big stage in May at our KSU recital (with a full video to remember the moment). Every dancer receives a class t-shirt and an unforgettable experience! Tan jazz shoes and black and white low top Converse are needed each week for class. RUNNING, GAMES, FITNESS ACTIVITIES & FUN! Girls on the Go seeks to encourage, empower and inspire young girls through exercise and other team building activities. Our focus will be to improve all aspects of health (physical, mental, emotional and social) through a variety of fun and engaging activities geared especially for them.

Green Paws is a 12-week academic class offered in the Fall and Spring semesters. Students will meet each week from 2:30pm-3:30pm in the Science Lab to discuss, plan, and share the results of gardening projects, cooking and tasting challenges, garden art, and STEAM environmental studies lessons. We'll also go on hikes and play in the creek!

Musical Theatre Workshop is thrilled to be returning to Tritt Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year! Spanish Club for Grades 1-5
We are a well-established, Cobb County foreign language enrichment program. Classes are taught by creative and enthusiastic Spanish teachers. We give the children useful vocabulary words in different units, and we help them learn these words by practicing them in different activities and games. The goal is to help children gain an enthusiasm and appreciation for learning Spanish as a second language and to provide a strong vocabulary base to prepare them for Spanish in middle school. Children previously enrolled in the program will be introduced to new content and challenged with a new curriculum. We provide needed materials and supplies for all students.

Stories Come Alive is an interactive class where imagination takes center stage! Students bring stories to life through drama, music, movement, and art—creating characters, acting out scenes, and making their own sound effects. Each session builds toward a fun final performance, where students showcase everything they’ve learned. It’s storytelling like you’ve never seen it before!

Tiger Beats is a percussion ensemble for 3rd - 5th graders. Students will learn to excel on a variety of percussion instruments including drums, xylophones and even bucket drums! As a group, we will explore, improvise and create through games and activities. The pieces we work on will be performed for parents, students and teachers at events for our school and community. Each semester/year is always a new experience with new music and activities. New and returning members are always welcome!

Tiger Beats, Jr. for Grades 1-2 with Mrs. Yunek*
Tiger Beats, Jr. is a percussion class for 1st and 2nd graders. Students will develop skills for a variety of accessory percussion instruments, drums, xylophones and even bucket drums! The class is all about exploring, improvising and creating through games and activities. This all culminates in a performance for parents at the end of the semester and/or a school/community event. Tiger Jumpers for Grades 1-2 with Mrs. Rinehart*

This exciting and energetic class is perfect for children who want to learn the basics of jump rope while having tons of fun! Kids will be introduced to single rope and long rope jumping techniques through playful games, group activities, and easy-to-follow instructions. Whether your child is brand new to jump rope or ready to build confidence and skills, this class is a great way to stay active, meet new friends, and develop coordination and rhythm. Let’s get jumping! A minimum of 6 students must be enrolled for this class.

Join Tritt Teacher, Mrs. Levetan, for some afterschool photography fun! During each class students will learn about a photographer, style of photography, and have lots of hands-on practice taking different styles of photos with our Nikon CoolPix Cameras. Camera equipment will be provided for students, including SD memory cards. Students will be able to keep their SD cards at the culmination of the class so they have all of their pictures!

Tiger Publishing for Grades 4-5 with Mrs. Pascual*

Tiger Publishing is a FAST class for fourth and fifth graders spanning 24 weeks during the fall and spring semesters. Students will meet each week to take part in learning all aspects of publishing culminating in the creation of Tritt's 2025-2026 yearbook by taking photographs of events, interviewing students for stories, creating quotes and polls, assisting in planning the overall design of the yearbook, marketing, and managing its distribution. This experience will allow for opportunities of leadership, teamwork, and creativity across grade levels. Additionally, students will have opportunities to work with experts in the STEAM fields of photography, graphic design, digital layout, copyrighting, and marketing.

*A yearbook staff t-shirt, badge, and yearbook are provided.
